The hope for a new world order, in which governments, NGOs, and researchers would jointly work towards managing and solving ethnic conflicts around the world by spreading multicultural justice and democratic participation has evaporated. (Andreas Wimmer).
The organization of the Islamic conference, representing Muslim-majority countries around the world, has a department on minority affairs, but its formal resolutions focus exclusively on the rights of Muslim minorities in non Muslim majority countries. The OIC has not attempted to establish formal minorities such as oppression of Baluch in Iran, Pakistan, Kurd in Syria, Iran turkey, Arab Ahwaz in Iran…
It would be very helpful if Islamic theory of international minority rights which address the ethno-nation issues or how to integrate short-term stability and long term justice. No such theory exists in Islamic theory.
