Self-determination of Balochistan: Looking Back and Looking Forward

Each year, August 14, the people of Pakistan celebrate their independence. On the other hand, the people of Balochistan to organize a “black day” because they never give up and return to their lands and the advice he was forcibly annexed therefore looking forward to fulfill their right to self-determination.
Looking back, history tells us that Balochistan August 4, 1947, the British government, the Khan of Kalat (now Baluchistan) and Pakistan’s leaders have signed an agreement which clearly states;

State Kalat (Balochistan today) will be independent August 5, 1947, enjoying the same status it held originally in 1838, to have friendly relations with its neighbors. “In the case where relations Kalat (Balochistan now) with any future government got strained, Kalat will exercise its right to self-determination, and the British government should take precautionary measures to help Kalat in the matter by the treaties of 1839 and 1841 . (By Hussain Bux Thebo balochvoice. com March 3, 2007)

original documents has been signed and sealed by the head of Kalat, declared his independence of Baluchistan August 11, 1947, the founder of Pakistan Mohammad Ali Jinnah signed the proclamation, August 12, 1947. This is the first clause reads “the government of Pakistan acknowledged Kalat (Balochistan) as an independent and autonomous has been different from other Indian states” (by Dr. Baloch Inyataullah Ph.D., author of ” problem of Greater Balochistan “) and” The New York Times “reported that new. See the clip below. From New York Times, 1947
democratically elected (upper and lower), the Parliament unanimously voted against the Baloch merger of Kalat (Baluchistan) in Pakistan on 14th December 1947 under the leadership of Mir Baksh Bizenjo Ghoz (photo). Ironically, the Pakistani leaders blindly undemocratic violated the constitution of Kalat (Balochistan) and the parliamentary decision Baloch.
Baloch leader Nawab largest Khair Baksh Marri always in the eyes of Pakistani leaders consider the most “dangerous” Baloch leaders for Pakistan, because of the birth of Pakistan, he refused to join in Balochistan Pakistan. “The Baluch are not party to the decision to join Pakistan. They have not acceded to Pakistan through their free will or their political alliances.” (Rashed Rehman thepost. Com 15 January 2008) ;
above all Pakistani leaders with their apologies fabrications and lies, they individually approached the Khan of Kalat and convinced him to sign the membership agreement with Baloch leaders consider illegitimate and cons international law.
Immediately after the occupation of Balochistan

his younger brother who was the former governor of Makuran, Prince Abdul Karim Baloch, resisting an illegal and at odds with his older brother Khan of Kalat. He started the fight against the first arm Pakistani leaders who went into the hills with his companions from Sarlat, in Baluchistan, which border Afghanistan.
rules of Pakistani law and systematic atrocities and the aggressive policies have continued for 61 years against the Baloch people natives. Baloch believe that there is nothing to celebrate the Independence Day of Pakistan. The Pakistani military dominates only believe that their method is good for dealing with conflicts of Balochistan. Ironically, the cycle of betrayal, and approaches to the problems facing non-democratic Baloch, which remains the same. A former Senator Baloch, Sanaullah Baloch, once referred to the central government, “Accept us as equal federating units or we will try to get rid of you.”
plight of Baloch has been hidden to the world, Pakistani media simply let the burning issues of the decades of cover of Baluchistan in the international community, but the Baloch Diaspora in the Middle East, Europe and North America trying to expose the reality on the ground of Balochistan in the world. Baloch people have used the Internet to use the more complete because it was a great tool to get the other side of the story out, but the most important exponent and expressing their side.
Once a villager

Baloch, Buzdar told the BBC: “Our land (Balochistan) has played an important role in making Pakistan a nuclear power, but what we received in return is the poverty and poison. “(” The villagers are afraid of nuclear waste “BBC April 4, 2006) The villagers Buzdar is just because Balochistan accounts for 43% of Pakistan’s landmass, it has rich natural resources, with 750 of coastline and a population of less than 10 million, but it remains the most backward province, the other three provinces Sindh provinces of North-West Frontier and Punjab. He has a literacy rate of the lowest, according to a report Organization of the United Nations-sponsored agencies in Balochistan. Their report also confirms the obvious fact that Balochistan is far behind in many categories, such as literacy and has a lower per capita permanent “Balochistan is below the accepted standard of illiteracy in many third world countries. “exclaims Dr. Mansoor Kundi, professor of political science at the University of Balochistan.
Baloch people have already faced five military operations ruthless, they occurred in the following periods: 1948, 1958, 1960, 1973-77 and 2005. On March 17, 2005 innocent people were killed, including Hindus, Baloch women, children and the elderly. Nawab Akbar Bugti was barely interrupted by the Pakistani security forces fired rockets while he was sitting in a meeting room to talk with their tribes.
The late Prime Minister Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, a civilian leader, February 12, 1973 dismissed the democratically elected government of Balochistan. In this government, there were two prominent Baloch leaders end Ghoz Mir Baksh Bizenjo who was the Governor of Balochistan Sardar Mengal Attauallah, the chief minister of Baluchistan.
1973 to 1977, a bloody military operation occurred in Balochistan. Pakistani and Iranian military forces began indiscriminately massacres of innocent nomadic Baloch Baloch where 5,000 were murdered in cold blood, and 3,000 Pakistani soldieries died. But people still can not Baloch considered victims of genocide. By virtue of their military power, Pakistan is faced with massacres and disappearances of people who simply seek to defend their rights.
Mr.

Sleg Harrison, interviewed the Baloch leaders and Prime Minister of Pakistan late Mr. Bhutto in 1977 for his book, in the shadow of Afghanistan: Baluch Nationalism and Soviet Temptations, the late Mr. Bhutto told him about the Shah of Iran. “He (Shah of Iran) believe strongly that the Baluch have to leave the provincial autonomy is not only dangerous in itself. For Pakistan, but would give his dangerous ideas … Baluch. We will not close our eyes while the secessionist movement, God forbid, your country. “
such dramatic situations, the relationship between the Baloch leaders and their respective regimes decision has been increasing rather than make amends. In such a troubled situation, the Baloch leadership can hardly convince the politically conscious Baloch that progress is on the horizon, referring to the autonomy of Balochistan.
late Mr. Bizenjo (former governor of Baluchistan), widely referred to as “the father of Balochistan” because he was actively involved in politics throughout his political career. One of his colleagues, Sardar Attaullah Khan Mengal told him: “Man can not live with the politics out. I can not get enough, but it must have all the time or perish.” He participated in five elections in Pakistan, he was a Baloch moderate leader who was willing to compromise with the Pakistani leadership for reasons of Baloch rights. But his attempt to reproduce the nonviolent approach of Gandhi, who liberated India from the chains of slavery was considered very successful.
Throughout his political career, he worked with the progressive and democratic forces of Pakistan until his death. Always keeping his integrity, Mr. Bizenjo refused to sell himself and his beliefs. Running on the most corrupt political environment, financial history has not been as strong relative to its competitors who selfishly absorbed in the bank of the dishonesty and corruption.
But the irony was

Pakistani leaders deliberately sidelined, even though they knew he was the most democratic personality in Islamabad. Comparing the other leaders of his country, he told Mr. Harrison in 1977, in his interview that “It is not our (Baloch leadership) fault, it is because of the inability of Pakistan to deal with problems (Balochistan) so reasonable. “
I would say, perhaps Mr. Harrison concluded that the best way to end Bizenjo Mir, he wrote: “In my opinion, it (late Mir. Bizenjo) is one of the ablest politicians in Pakistan and may have played a major role in Islamabad, but its identity and its commitment to Baluch cause Baluch. “I think the reason why Pakistani leaders intentionally side doubled because of his identity and to be leading Baloch from Balochistan.
He kept his interest in his people that his first priority, and put the soul of every Baloch who traveled all over Balochistan. He tried to meet all segments of the population everywhere, at any time be subject to a shade of palm trees, huts, at the corner of River and outside the store he openly heard their pain and has shown its sympathy regardless of being powerless. But it was a symbolic act of any democratic leaders, so it touched the heart of his people around Balochistan.
Mr. Harrison expressed his

complementary perspective on the personality of Mr. later. Bizenjo he writes: “Following his studies at Aligarh, (I would say Oxford subcontinent) Bizenjo received much greater exposure. . . from politics before independence of the subcontinent that his colleagues Baluch parochial educated, with the notable exception of Oxford-educated Bugti Nawab Akbar Khan. (Former Governor and the Prime Ministers of Balochistan.)
Indeed

Harrison analysis is correct about the Oxford-educated Baloch Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti The chef has spent about 57 years with Pakistani leaders and parliamentary politics in Pakistan, trying to achieve Baloch rights as the end of Mir. Bizenjo the rights of Baloch people.
He also served as governor of Balochistan and creation, it was well known among his supporters and opponents as a tough negotiator, simple, and never bowed down and did not waive its own principle which, according to him until his last day. For example, when his government ship in 1973, he had conflicts and disagreements with the late Prime Minister Mr. Bhutto and resigned from his post as prime minister but does not compromise its principles. A second time, once he knew he was betrayed by his family trust in Islamabad Punjabi leaders called “Parliamentary Committee” by Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed and Punjab Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, leader of the former administration Pakistan Muslim League, instead of accepting the terms of negotiations for the interests of “Baloch cause” he has refused to renounce its principle until his death.
Pakistani generals had already laid the foundation for the elimination of Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti, simply because he was trying to expose their lies and mistakes against Baloch rights and did not accept their false hopes given by the “committee.” This is the model to Punjabi Baloch leaders for the last 6 decades.
fact that legendary heroes Baloch had done before; fight until your last breath on the hills of Balochistan to protect their ancestral lands and resources. Just a week before, BBC journalists interviewed by satellite phone from the hills of Baluchistan on “Parliamentary Committee” result and outcome of negotiations with Pakistani leaders, he said. “They are communicating with us through the use of cannons, fighter planes, bombs, deep penetration, it is those great dialogues that they have discussed safe with us.” (BBC August 16, 2006) < / p>
It is worth mentioning here that the U.S. has provided modern and sophisticated weapons for the war against terrorism “against the Taliban, the Pakistani army against indigenous Baloch used during this operation military.
New York Reporter who visited the area of operation in the hills of Baluchistan, writes: “Indeed, huge craters and fragments from American-designed MK-82 bombs lay beside a badly damaged school in the village of Mararar (Baluchistan) the results of the bombing raid Baluch fighters took place in early March “(In the remote province of Pakistan Civil War Festers” New York Times by Carlotta Gall April 2, 2006)
August 26, 2006, he was murdered by Pakistani generals. How the death of a chief Creates Bigger problem for Pakistan but he knew and was just waiting for such a result in ruthless enemy. Before his death, he said: “Let us before we die, gather our heritage, and to offer our children. “This he demonstrated in sacrificing his life for the” Baloch cause “Similarly, a young Nawabzada Balach Marri, [i], a former member of the Assembly of Balochistan province, became a manufacturer of history of the Baloch national struggle. He was assassinated by the Pakistani intelligence services who fought to defend the Baloch national wealth and their lands against the illegal occupants. Baloch rebel leader killed
There is no doubt Nawab Akbar Bugti and Marri Nawabzada Balach their symbolic act was similar to the legendary hero Mir Mehrab Khan 11 November 13, 1839, had fought against the invasion in Kalat Empires Britsh forces with Baloch up his last breath this ancestral land. So they filled the gap or hole long Baloch national struggle again in the 21st century, including their sacrifice for the cause “Baloch”, which has inspired thousands of young Baloch who joined the Baloch national struggle, including his grandson, 27 year old son Nawabzada Bramdagh Bugti, who is fully committed to continuing the legacy of his grandfather, a quest for self-determination of Balochistan.
Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti

really analyze the Baloch people understanding about their national cause, which stated: “The Baloch are aware of their past, very aware of themselves … and this awareness is increasing. “We really see that through awareness;
First Baloch are in place and arms, as is the “Baloch Republican Army,” the Balochistan Liberation Army “and” Liberating Balochistan Front “on the hills of Baluchistan.
other hand, the true leader Baloch parliamentarians are moving heaven and earth so that the central government through its Provincial know “controlled” by the Assembly of Balochistan was biased and has imposed policies no place among the Baloch leaders and they know for example parliamentary politics there is no hope for self-regulation of Balochistan. So they are there to expose anti-democratic policies and aggressive towards their people and that struggle will continue in the rush to get their rights, self-determination.
Because

Pakistani authorities, leaders, academics, intellectuals and the media for 61 years twisting Balochistan true story of the labeling of Baloch leaders ’separatist’ This label is false and unrelated Baloch leadership.
“They paint Baloch as” separatist “is false, as Baluchistan was never part of India … Baloch struggle for liberation is not the separation that was East Bengal … which seceded from Pakistan because the Pakistani army did not accept the mandate of their people to the Bengali majority rule and began the extermination of millions of Bengalis and raping hundreds of thousands of women. Says a senior Baloch intellectual and poet, Abdul Samad Ameer (Balochi culture-August 16, 2008)
The best road map to resolve historical grievances of Baloch people will be through the United Nations observer, the observer and the international community, and a surveillance team of experts. They should have the possibility of a referendum. So, let them decide their future for themselves by simply asking a question, Are you in favor of independence for Balochistan and pro-Pakistan?
The result of this mass will determine the future Baloch of Balochistan, if they want to stay with Pakistan or want their own homelands. The other option is the continued failure of negotiations with Baluch leaders and a cycle of betrayal.
Each year, August 14, Pakistanis celebrate their country to the Baloch independence otherwise despise him because he has another year under the domination of Pakistan. Perhaps the martyred Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti said “peace in Balochistan, the things of the distant past” might be the truth for the future for many years to come.
