Mawlana Abdollhamid said that “Baluchistan is our identity we will not allow its division”. The Malana’s stand on division of Baluchistan deserve lots of praises, I have always believed that the religion wall is the biggest wall stand between Baluch and non Baluch in western Baluchistan.

The Persian has jumped every other Baluch identity in Baluchistan, the Baluch religious identity has stand above the rests. Different linguistics and cultural groups of same religion followers assimilate much easer into dominant group than the people of the different religion, because the religion governs person’s and groups moral.

I am sure the Mulla Saheb well aware of the fact that the Baluchistan is the Baluch homeland a shell suppose to shield the Baluch identity, economic, dignity, it is also true  combinations of language, culture, share memory, share hero make a Baluch identity. This is an unfortunate for the Baluch nation that the Religious leaders in western Baluchistan in some places have voluntarily given up reading their Friday ritual (khutba) in Baluchi language.

Since the formation of modern Persia after the Fall of Qajar and the invasion of western Baluchistan 1928 by Iranian the state resources has been devoted to promotion of Persian language on expenses of other languages.  Centralised administration and Persian languages has given superiority   to Persian language.

The right of people to use and learn in their languages are published in the international law. I hope Mulana Saheb contribute some things in preserving the Baluch Identity and will not deny the Baluch to listen to his Friday ritual (Khtuba) in Baluchi. One has to remember once one lose ones languages soon lose identity may lose faith soon after.
