A Baluch anywhere in
the world conceive itself as a member of the Baluch nation. The Baluch are
bodies of people bound together by common culture and mutual recognition.
However, regarding oneself as Baluch in general term so far has
not benefited the Baluch people under the Persian occupation.
The Baluch nation is divided between states, Baluch is
divided within states and the Baluch itself self-divided between tribes and
regions.
Baluchistan is an occupied land.
The external powers have no problem in recognising the
Persian occupation as legitimate unless the Baluch mange to challenge their
legitimacy by organising and mobilising the Baluch masses against the Persian
unlawful occupation on Baluchistan.
The Baluch politician and organisations indecisiveness have prolonged
the occupation, and external powers have given legitimacy to the Persian illegitimate
occupation by simply ignoring the forceful annexation since 1928 and use of
force to maintain it as part of Iran.
Three functions
play important roles within the Baluch struggle for the independence
Coordination,
mobilization and legitimisation play important roles for a success or failure
for the Baluch struggle.
Political organisations are capable to coordinate and
mobilise diverse population, and a mass participation of the people for the national
liberation will legitimise the Baluch struggle for national liberation.
A nation can survive subjugation and occupation when they
work in close proximity to one another. The Baluch can liberation itself when
The Baluch see themselves as co-operating to achieve same end and they regard
one another as having obligation to one another as Nation.
The Baluch identity have
been threatened under Persian rule, its legitimate political aspirations being
denied, it is surprising why some politician and organisations have not seen
themselves as a nation under the Persian occupation and have not expressed
their national aspiration clearly in nationalist term!
Majority of the Baluch including myself believe in the
liberation and unification of all Baluch and Baluchistan.
However, in my humble opinion the Baluch struggle in the
Iranian occupation Baluchistan is against Iran. The Iranian are the only occupying power in that part of Baluchistan. The Baluch should recognise that
Iran has many allies as well as many foes and the united nation is on Persian
side.
In any national liberation struggle a strategy and political
manoeuvring are important. One should avoid to unite Iran allies and foes
against the Baluch struggle.
A unification of
Baluch and Baluchistan only feasible if the Baluch liberate themselves from three
countries. Before that to happen the Baluch under the Persian occupation with
help or without help from others must organise themselves autonomously. I have
no doubt that the Baluch under Pakistani occupation do the same.
An independent Baluchistan provide the best means for the
Baluch to fulfil their claim to national self-determination.

Baluch National or (supreme council) is an old proposal has been debated among the Baluch diaspora (activists and leaderships) since 2008, but hasn’t been established yet. No group, no tribe, no individual is strong enough to liberate the Nation alone.

Today we are confused and bewildered, should we rejoice what we don’t have?
